Before Barry Atlas even proposed, he knew he wanted to get married at The Pierre Hotel. When it came to choosing a venue The Pierre was an organic fit – timeless, classic New York and along with having worked in the hotel for many years Atlas was also the in house florist for The Pierre.
As per the brides’ request, the ceremony inspiration was romantic garden with a luxurious flare and lots of phalaenopsis orchids, her favorite flower. Barry had a giant green boxwood wall constructed as the backdrop of the chuppah to really give the ceremony a larger then life garden ambiance. He designed a romantic candlelight floor to ceiling fabric wall for the entrance to the aisle, which gave the space an intimate feeling.
For the ballroom reception flowers were vibrant variations of purple, the bride’s favorite color. A 10-foot round ring of hanging candles and phalaenopsis orchids was suspended over the custom white dance floor. It was an incredible event and brought the entire team a special feeling to create a wedding for one of our very own.
